Hydrolyzed Collagen Improves Joint and Skin Health

If hydrolyzed collagen improves joint and skin health, then everyone over the age of 45 needs to know about this.

Our food choices contributes to this chronic inflammation. In my article titled “5 Foods That Trigger Arthritis Pain” I identify the following:

For most of the United States, the first three are consumed on a daily basis. All three create inflammation within your body. And if you eat them daily, then the result is chronic inflammation.

Chronic inflammation causes the body to treat this as an injury. This results in excessive fibrin, which is a contributing factor of arthritis and joint inflammation.

Fibrin has to be addressed. Because of this my next article titled “Proteolytic Enzymes To Address Fibrin” will help you understand how to eliminate this from your body.

In today’s article I want to help you understand how to choose foods that ease arthritis pain. There are 5 that I would recommend. They are: Read More →

One of my clients asked me if there were any natural ingredients for joint pain.

One of my clients asked me if there were any natural ingredients for joint pain. This person was concerned about the negative effects of certain pain relieving drugs like:

Acetaminophen or Tylenol – Click here for a review of health concerns.

Ibuprofen or Motrin – Click here for a comparison between ibuprofen and acetaminophen.

And since this person is over the age of 45, they have been dealing with joint pain for awhile.

If you’re like most people over the age of 45, then you are dealing with some level of joint pain. It’s estimated that in the United States about 29% of the adult population has arthritis. And if you’re 65 or older, then it’s about 50% of the population that suffers from arthritis.

For me personally, I experience joint pain in my left knee daily. Some days are worse than others depending on my activities during the previous day. I typically use 600 mg of ibuprofen when the pain gets to be too much. For me it addresses the pain and inflammation.

This made my client’s request for natural ingredients for joint pain timely and personal. And here is what I found. Read More →

Almost every lifestyle disease today is affected by chronic inflammation. Some researchers would say Chronic Inflammationthat if you can eliminate chronic inflammation, then you can significantly reduce all diseases.

If this is true, then the question is:

How Do You Get Relief From Chronic Inflammation?

And more importantly:

How Do You Prevent Chronic Inflammation?

To understand the answer to both the “relief of” and “prevention of” chronic inflammation you need to understand the eicosanoid pathway.

Just as there is an endothelial pathway for the creation of nitric oxide for improved cardiovascular health. There is also an eisocanoid pathway that significantly influences inflammation in your body.

Chronic Inflammation – The Eicosanoid Pathway

Finally there looks to be an effective and natural treatment for osteoarthritis. It’s estimated that 27 million AmericansNatural Treatment for Osteoarthritis or 12% of the adult population has some degree of osteoarthritis. And for those who are over the age of 60, you most likely have some degree of this disease, although the severity can vary.

If you have osteoarthritis, then it effects joint mobility, which induces varies degrees of pain while diminishing the quality of your life.

And the unfortunate reality of current drugs is that they’re primarily aimed at pain relief. Not addressing the root cause, which for most is loss of joint cartilage leading to inflammation and bone loss. Additionally, these drugs are only about 50% effective in addressing pain symptoms.

However, there is a new study from the scientists at Central Michigan University that shows how two botanical extracts can be a natural treatment for osteoarthritis. There are:

  • Cutch Tree Extract (Acacia catechu)

  • White Mulberry Extract (Morus alba)

We’ll examine their study in more detail below. But a quick overview shows that these plant extracts reduce cartilage damage while suppressing pain and inflammation. Read More →
