The Power of Nitric Oxide Therapy

A call today from one of my clients reminded me of the power of nitric oxide therapy to address Power of Nitric Oxidecardiovascular health concerns.

My client first contacted me in February of 2013. He had been sent home from the hospital to get his affairs in order since he was given just months to live.

My client had small vessel disease of the heart. His ejection fraction was under 30. He had several blockages and because the arteries of his heart were so small and fragile nothing could be done to help him.

My client found me though my YouTube videos on the power of nitric oxide therapy to help improve the vascular system. He wanted to know if this would help him.

As I shared with him there is no guarantee that I or nitric oxide therapy could help him given his current condition. But since he had no further options for living he decided to apply nitric oxide therapy to see if it would help.

Fast forward to today, which is almost 5 years later. My client’s heart is in better shape today than when he first called me. His been give almost five additional years of life to enjoy his family and friends. And while he has had some heart related challenges over this last 5 years, he has been able to experience further medical procedures that have helped strengthen his heart.

These medical procedures would not have been possible without nitric oxide therapy.

He represents to me the power of nitric oxide therapy. And when properly applied, how it can make a significant difference in a person’s cardiovascular health and function. Read More →

Diabetes has grown to epidemic proportions and so have the cardiovascular complications of diabetes. Cardiovascular Complications of DiabetesAccording to the most recent statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 29 million Americans have diabetes. However, what makes this “America’s largest healthcare epidemic” is that 86 million Americans are in a pre-diabetic condition, where their blood glucose levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

This means that over 115 million Americans are either in a pre-diabetic or diabetic condition. This is creating an enormous health challenge. Even just being pre-diabetic raises a person’s risk for heart disease and stroke. High blood sugar causes oxidative stress or damage to your endothelium resulting in the following cardiovascular complications of diabetes:

Recent research continues to show the importance of Vitamin D but few understand the difference between vitamin D3 benefits over vitamin D2.

Vitamin D deficiency symptoms and diseases

Vitamin D deficiency symptoms and diseases

Yes, there are two forms of vitamin D. Vitamin D2 is manufactured by plants or fungus. It is typically used to fortified foods like milk, cereals, and juices. This form of vitamin D is called Ergocalciferol.

Vitamin D3 is called Cholecalciferol. It is synthesized by humans and animals from sunlight. When taken in supplement form it has a longer shelf life and is better for the human body.

In a published study in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, vitamin D3 was shown to be 87% more effective in raising vitamin D levels in the blood over vitamin D2. According to the lead researcher Dr. Robert Heaney (Creigton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska),

“Given its greater potency, D3 should be the preferred treatment option when correcting vitamin D deficiency.”
