The Truth About Multivitamins

Posted by Dan Hammer //
 02/18/2016

I got pretty steamed today about a heart health newsletter that stated “multivitamins increase the risk of cancer and heart disease, according to recent studies.” This post will help you understand the truth about multivitamins.

The Truth About MultivitaminsWhile the author of this newsletter had some beneficial information to share like:

  • Every day, your heart creates enough energy to drive a truck for 20 miles.

  • Your heart can keep beating even if it is separated from the body because it has its own electrical impulse.

  • 75 trillion cells receive blood from the heart.

  • Your heart will pump nearly 1.5 million barrels of blood during your lifetime, enough to fill 200 train tank cars.

  • Instead of chest pains, heart attacks in women have nausea, indigestion, and shoulder aches.

  • Your heart beats over 100,000 times per day.

And then came this statement:

Can L-arginine Cause Bleeding?

Posted by Dan Hammer //
 02/07/2016

I was recently asked the question can L-arginine cause bleeding by a concerned wife who is trying to help her husband with some of his cardiovascular health challenges. She just recently came across Nitric Oxide Therapy through the use of L-arginine. Here is her exact statement to me:Nitric Oxide from L-arginine

“Look at the drug interaction list. I know this is old research but it raised some concern. Does l-arginine lower blood pressure?  Because my husband has low blood pressure. Can it cause bleeding? He is taking aspirin and Plavix?”

Now in her statement are really two concerns:

Pycnogenol and L-arginine For Moderate ED

Posted by Dan Hammer //
 02/03/2016

This week’s blog post comes from one of my male clients who asked me about Pycnogenol and L-arginine for ED issues. Now the ED does not stand for Education but Erectile Dysfunction. My client had seen an article about this combination of Pycnogenol and L-arginine providing positive benefits in this area and wanted to know my thoughts.

The first thing I did was Google the word combination: pycnogenol and l-argininePycnogenol and L-arginine

And to my surprise there was a peer reviewed clinical study in this area. Here’s the study and a brief summary of the results (click on the title of the study to see the actual summary on PubMed.)

Aspirin or Nitric Oxide – Which is Better for Reducing the Risk of Blood Clots?

Posted by Dan Hammer //
 02/01/2016

This article on Aspirin or Nitric Oxide was originally posted to my old NO More Heart Disease blog on September 17, 2009.  I’m restoring some of my old posts because the information back then is still of great value today.  Here’s the original post regarding this issue of Aspirin or Nitric Oxide – Which is Better for Reducing the Risk for Blood Clots?

On Monday, August 31, 2009 Yahoo Health had an article entitled “Daily aspirin may do more harm than good: study” in which researchers found that:

Aspirin or Nitric Oxide

“. . . the risks of bleeding from taking aspirin were such that its routine use in healthy people ‘cannot be supported’ – although they did not dispute its use in patients with a history of vascular problems.”

Vitamin C Improves Endothelial Health

Posted by Dan Hammer //
 01/21/2016

Last week I was doing research for a new video on a product called e9 and I came across information on how vitamin C improves endothelial health. This was new information for me. Since I’m a firm believe in the benefits of Nitric Oxide Therapy and how it can naturally address cardiovascular health issues, I decided to explore further.

Below are a list of scholarly articles that I came across that really show how significant this is. But before I give you a summary of each article let me first give you a brief overview of nitric oxide therapy.

Namaste Foods Gluten Free Perfect Flour BlendAt the end of October 2015 I decided to go Gluten Free. I’ve been faithful to this Gluten Free lifestyle ever since. And while the change has been extremely positive from a health perspective I’ve missed certain foods.

One in particular is having waffles for breakfast.

Most of the time my morning meal is my High Antioxidant High ORAC Health Shake, and I like to combine it with toast to hold my appetite until early afternoon. In going Gluten Free I’ve been searching for a replacement for toast.
