Optimize Nitric Oxide Production

There are 6 key ingredients that can help you optimize nitric oxide production. Nitric oxide is key to your vascular health as it helps you enjoy the following benefits:

  • Improved Blood Flow By Relaxing the Smooth Muscle of the Vascular Wall

  • Reduce Your Risk for Strokes and Heart Attacks by Keeping Blood Platelet Cells From Sticking Together

  • Helps to Initiate Repair Mechanisms to Heal Damage to Your Vascular System

All of these benefits are important to your cardiovascular health. Which means learning how to optimize nitric oxide production also helps you harness these benefits for improved health.

To help you learn which 6 ingredients are key to nitric oxide production, I’ve recorded a video that will walk you through this process. Enjoy!

And for those who prefer to read the information, I’ve summarized it below the video.

Naturally Eliminate Heart Arrhythmia

The title for today’s blog post came from a client whose husband was able to naturally eliminate heart arrhythmia through a combination of taurine with l-arginine.

My client sent me a link to the PubMed article. You can click here to read it for yourself.

The title for this 2006 published study is “Elimination of cardiac arrhythmias using oral taurine with l-arginine with case histories: Hypothesis for nitric oxide stabilization of the sinus node.”

It’s a long title but has some excellent information on how to naturally eliminate heart arrhythmia.

In fact I found the abstract of this study to be fascinating for it looked at the nutrient deficiencies in the following cardiac arrhythmias:

  • Premature Atrial Contractions (PACs)
  • Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVCs)
  • Atrial Fibrillation
  • Sinus Pauses

And here were their findings:

Finding #1 – The use of 10 – 20 grams of taurine per day reduced PACs by 50% and prevented all PVCs but did not prevent pauses.

Finding #2 – When 4-6 gram of L-arginine were added this immediately eliminated all the remaining pauses and PACs. And with continued treatment maintained normal cardiac rhythm.

I’ve many clients who have experienced remarkable improvements with heart arrhythmia through the use of nitric oxide therapy. But not all have benefited.

So let’s look at this a little deeper to understand how this combination of taurine and L-arginine help.

Naturally Eliminate Heart Arrhythmia – The Basics

The word arrhythmia is used by the medical community to describe a disturbance in the normal rhythm of the heart. Some arrhythmias are mild and temporary. Others can be life threatening.

The most common arrhythmia is called atrial fibrillation. This effects the upper chambers of the heart and can effect the filling of your heart ventricles, which are the lower chambers of the heart. Usually the concern of atrial fibrillation is the potential for blood to pool in the upper chambers of the heart, which increases your risk for a blood clot. A blood clot that can lead to a stroke or heart attack.

A common, but minor rhythm disorder, is a PVC or premature ventricular contraction. This is when your ventricles or lower heart chambers contract prematurely. PVCs have more of an effect on your body since the lower chambers push out blood to either your lungs or body.

This is especially dangerous when these PVCs become rapid and uncontrolled because it interferes with your blood flow and can lead to death.

Both types of arrhythmias are primarily the result of a disturbance or interference in the electrical conduction of the heart.

Naturally Eliminate Heart Arrhythmia – The Taurine Effect

Taurine is a naturally occurring amino acid that is extremely beneficial to your brain, eyes, heart, and muscles. And while your body can produce taurine, sometimes you’ll need to supplement to help address specific health needs.

As related to the normal rhythm of your heart, taurine helps to regulate potassium, calcium, and sodium levels in your blood and tissues. It also helps to protect you from free radical damage. And specific to your heart, it helps to regulate the excitability of the myocardium.

Taurine also helps to restore energy.

Specific to arrhythmias it seems to dampen the activity of the sympathetic nervous system and epinephrine release.

Naturally Eliminate Heart Arrhythmia – The L-arginine Effect

L-arginine is a key amino acid needed for all people no matter their age or sex. L-arginine helps to fuel 7 different metabolic pathways that are essential to good health. If you’re interested is these 7 different pathways, then please watch the video below titled “The Truth about L-Arginine!”

As it applies to heart arrhythmia, l-arginine is converted by eNOS enzymes, which line your vascular system, into nitric oxide. This process seems to restore sinus rhythm because it helps to restore the ntric oxide needed for stabilization of the sinus node.

Naturally Eliminate Heart Arrhythmia – Final Thoughts

In doing research for this article I also came across two other ingredients that have good supporting literature as it applies to heart arrhythmia.

One is magnesium. I recently did a blog post on this key mineral and how it can significantly improve your overall health. Specific to your cardiovascular system it:

  • Helps lover blood pressure
  • Reduces the risk for a stroke
  • And facilitates the electrical circuitry of the heart

The other ingredient is the amino acid L-carnitine. This amino acid helps to prevent PVCs. And works in tandem with CoQ10 to produce the needed energy for a normal heart contraction.

If you experience any heart arrhythmias, then you need to see your physician. But if your arrhythmia is mild, and your doctor is open to giving you some time before any type of medical intervention, then try a combination of oral taurine and L-arginine as outlined in the study above.

Hopefully your outcome will be the same. Were the arrhythmia disappears and normal heart rhythm returns.

The Truth About L-Arginine

Posted by Dan Hammer //
 04/01/2018

The purpose of this blog post titled The Truth About L-Arginine is to counter the misinformation used to negate the Truth About L-Argininebenefits of this amino acid to your overall health.

Most of the misinformation comes from the rapidly expanding market for nitric oxide supplements. And this misinformation usually comes from companies that use beet root extract to harness the nitrate/nitrite pathway for the creation of nitric oxide.

The misinformation usually takes two approaches:

  1. “L-arginine is a semi-essential amino acid that can help the body produce nitric oxide but supplementation doesn’t work in all people, especially those over 40.” This is taken from the Berkeley FAQ section of their website and makes it seem that for those over the age of 40 the L-arginine pathway is disfunctional.

  2. The use of nitric oxide test strips to demonstrate improved nitric oxide production. And while there is a correlation, these test strips only measure nitrite levels in the saliva.

To help you better understand how misleading these two approaches are I put together the following video titled

Heart Disease in Women

Posted by Dan Hammer //
 02/22/2018

Every year February is Go Red for Women to help our female population understand that heart disease in women isHeart Disease in Women real. In fact it’s the number one killer of women. And depending on whose statistics you use that’s either:

1 in 3 deaths each year

or

1 in 4 deaths each year

Either way that’s approximately one woman every minute who is experiencing a heart attack that can lead to their death.

This is not just a “man’s disease” anymore. Heart disease now kills more women than men each year.

And while there is a tremendous emphasis place on breast cancer (and rightfully so) 5 times more women are going to die from heart disease than from breast cancer.

It’s estimated that two-thirds (64%) of women who die from heart disease have no previous symptoms.

This makes heart disease in women a real health issue for them and their families.

Because no one can replace a mom or wife, and the hole they leave in the fabric of their family and community, when they are needlessly lost to heart disease.

So the question is why? Read More →

Heart Disease in Black Americans!

February is Black History month and unfortunately heart disease in Black Americans is part of their history. Here’s Heart Disease in Black Americansthe reality in numbers:

African American women in the age range of 25-44 have a 2.5 times greater risk of coronary heart disease and African American men have a 1.5 times greater risk than the Caucasian community.

And when you look at the contributing factors it’s even worse:

High Blood Pressure – 1 out of every 3 African Americans suffers from high blood pressure. The American Heart Association estimates that 28% of African American adults and more than two-thirds of African Americans over the age of 60 have high blood pressure.

Diabetes – The African American community has a two-fold higher rate for diabetes than the Caucasian community. Most diabetes-related deaths are due to cardiovascular disease.

High Cholesterol Levels – High blood cholesterol is a large risk factor for heart disease. Unfortunately 50% of African American men and 54% of women have too much cholesterol circulating in the blood stream.

And when you add in other factors like overweight and obesity, heart disease in Black Americans is historically higher than in any other ethnic community.

The Power of Nitric Oxide Therapy

Posted by Dan Hammer //
 01/15/2018

A call today from one of my clients reminded me of the power of nitric oxide therapy to address Power of Nitric Oxidecardiovascular health concerns.

My client first contacted me in February of 2013. He had been sent home from the hospital to get his affairs in order since he was given just months to live.

My client had small vessel disease of the heart. His ejection fraction was under 30. He had several blockages and because the arteries of his heart were so small and fragile nothing could be done to help him.

My client found me though my YouTube videos on the power of nitric oxide therapy to help improve the vascular system. He wanted to know if this would help him.

As I shared with him there is no guarantee that I or nitric oxide therapy could help him given his current condition. But since he had no further options for living he decided to apply nitric oxide therapy to see if it would help.

Fast forward to today, which is almost 5 years later. My client’s heart is in better shape today than when he first called me. His been give almost five additional years of life to enjoy his family and friends. And while he has had some heart related challenges over this last 5 years, he has been able to experience further medical procedures that have helped strengthen his heart.

These medical procedures would not have been possible without nitric oxide therapy.

He represents to me the power of nitric oxide therapy. And when properly applied, how it can make a significant difference in a person’s cardiovascular health and function. Read More →

Nitric Oxide Therapy Addresses High Blood Pressure

Posted by Dan Hammer //

Nitric Oxide Therapy Addresses High Blood PressureA little over a week ago 31 million Americans were classified as having high blood pressure. Yet no one in the medical community is helping them understand how nitric oxide therapy addresses high blood pressure.

This post contains a link to Our Nitric Oxide Therapy ebook.

This ebook will help you understand how the 1998 Nobel Prize in Medicine was awarded to 3 American researchers for discovery how the lining of your cardiovascular system (called the endothelium) converts the amino acid L-arginine into nitric oxide.

Nitric oxide has been called the Miracle Molecule for what it can do to help regulate your cardiovascular system for improved blood flow.

With the awarding of the Nobel Prize there was an explosion of research in this area. Currently, there are over 100,000 peer reviewed clinical studies in the area of nitric oxide therapy. Yet even as we end the year 2017 most people have never heard of this natural way to address most cardiovascular health concerns including high blood pressure. Read More →

Arteriosclerosis and Atherosclerosis – Treatment Programs!

Posted by Dan Hammer //
 02/22/2017

According to the American Heart Association, arteriosclerosis and atherosclerosis account for Atherosclerosisnearly 75% of all deaths from heart disease! To have a significant impact on reducing the number one killer of people worldwide, it would make sense to focus on treatment programs that address these two issues.

As I gathered data for this article many of the websites I looked at made the following comment – “The exact cause of arteriosclerosis is not known.”

This author would like to disagree with this statement.

The exact cause of arteriosclerosis and atherosclerosis is known. It’s damage to the endothelial cells that line all of your cardiovascular system, which reduces their ability to properly produce nitric oxide, the master signaling molecule of the cardiovascular system. Nitric oxide is key to cardiovascular health. According to Dr. Louis J. Ignarro, the 1998 Nobel Laureate in Medicine,

“NO – as it is known by chemists – is produced by the body specifically to help keep arteries and veins free of the plaque that causes stroke and to maintain normal blood pressure by relaxing the arteries, thereby regulating the rate of blood flow and preventing coronaries. Nitric oxide is the body’s natural cardiovascular wonder drug.”

If you look closely at Dr. Ignarro’s statement you will notice the following significant phrase: “. . . specifically to help keep arteries and veins free of the plaque that causes stroke. . .” Plaque formation is at the heart of atherosclerosis. Calcification of these plaque formations lead to arteriosclerosis.

Arteriosclerosis and Atherosclerosis – General Overview!

Posted by Dan Hammer //
 02/15/2017

There is a lot of confusion between arteriosclerosis and atherosclerosis but one thing is certain, combinedArteriosclerosis they account for nearly 75% of all deaths from heart disease!

Here are the sobering facts:

  • 735,000 Americans have heart attacks each year

  • 120,000 Americans die from heart attacks each year

  • 787,00 Americans die each year from all forms of cardiovascular disease

  • 2,150 Americans die each day from cardiovascular disease issues

That’s 1 American dying every 90 seconds!

Most people are familiar with heart attacks or strokes. You likely have a family member or friend who either suffers from the consequences of one or has died due to one. Because of this a great deal of emphasis is placed on preventing heart attacks and strokes. While this is important, the real emphasis should be put upon preventing arteriosclerosis and atherosclerosis because they are the underlying cause of heart attacks and strokes.
